We are delighted that Paul & Isla Gordon, winemakers and owners of Domaine La Sarabande in Languedoc, are coming to share their wonderful wines with us at the end of July. Ballyvolane House Chef, Teena Mahon, has devised a lip-smacking 4-course menu to compliment their wines perfectly.
Date: Friday, 30 July 2010
Time: 7.30pm canapes and fizz on the lawn. 8pm dinner.
Price: €60 per person includes 4-course set dinner menu and all wines on the night.
Price of Winemaker's Dinner + Accommodation: €155 per person sharing includes 1 night's accommodation with full Irish breakfast, 4-course set dinner menu and all wines on the night.

We have hosted lots of weddings of all shapes and sizes over the years. We can accommodate up to 110 people in the house for a 'sit-down' wedding and larger groups can be accommodated in a marquee on the top lawn. Salmon Fishing on the River Blackwater

LATEST FISHING NEWS
Although the water is low at the moment, there are still lots of fish running. We have been placing anglers on the lower catchment as the salmon are coming in on the high tide and the conditions are proving ideal for fly fishing. Large summer salmon up to 12lb and grilse up to 5lb have been taken on the fly in the last week. Shrimp flies such as Cascade Shrimp and Ally's Shrimp have been the most effective flies this season this. When more rain comes, the fishing will get even better - please keep in touch to find out more.
